Prometheus is one of our current Erasmus+ projects. Now in its second year, the project is looking to develop best practices and tools linked to online guidance. The main aim of this is to help careers advisors make the most of new technologies within their work.
Last week saw the third project meeting take place in Athens. All our project partners were in attendance, from countries as diverse as Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Ireland and Italy. Discussions focussed on the online network for advisors which is being developed, as well as the current work being done to design several mobile apps.
The team had been rather excited to travel to Greece as throughout January there had been a heat wave, with temperatures in the mid to high teens. However we were rather disappointed to discover on landing that we had brought the chilly UK weather with us, and so spent a cold few days on the (still beautiful) Athenian coast (don’t let the blue sky fool you!).
Nevertheless, some of us did managed to squeeze in a little sightseeing – with the Acropolis and Olympic Stadium being highlights. We also visited Piraeus, the port of Athens, one evening for dinner. We were amazed by the size of this port (its not something you instantly think of when you picture Athens!) and enjoyed some great seafood in a local restaurant.
